Bunnies!

How cute is this patterned sweater from Urban Outfitters? I love the print, and the color is so nice as well. It's waaay too hot here right now to even be thinking about sweaters, but that just looks so warm and fuzzy and good for the fall/winter. I'm not even sure this is in stock anymore...it still shows up on the website here, but on my wishlist it says it's out of stock.

Weekly Thoughts, Week 2:

(here)
001. One of my friend's cats just had kittens, and he's giving them away. There are two tabbys, one that is all black, and one that is black and one and looks like a cow haha. I would love one, especially one of the last two, but unfortunately I don't think I'll have time to take care of it, and neither does anyone else at home.

(here)
 002. I've come to realize that I'm such a pacifist. I just can't stand fighting. Today I did something that was slightly bad (don't worry, nothing illegal), and I might have gotten away with it. Except I just can't stand the fact that someone may be mad at me, that someone may think worse of me for what I did. They probably don't even care that much, but the fact that that they might kills me.

(here)
003. My mom made brownies today. Mmmmmm. Haha every time I'm bored or stressed now, I'll just constantly be reaching for them.

(here)
004. So I've never actually seen Rent - the show or the movie - but when I was younger I borrowed the soundtrack from the library, because I'd heard one of the songs somewhere, and I just fell in love with all the songs. They're amazing. I basically have them all memorized, haha now to just see the movie. Oooh and Rent is coming back to the stage in 52 days! I have to go see it then...A few months ago they were announcing on their website (http://www.siteforrent.com/) how they were holding auditions. Except you have to be 18 our older to try out. Shame...

005. Really want the Rose to the Occasion Top in Afternoon from Modcloth...I've been wanting something long sleeved and flowy like this for a while. I'm a bit hesitant to order from there though, because there are no extra smalls, and I've heard that their things are usually bigger than their supposed size anyway...

Procrastinators Unite (Tomorrow)

Predictably, I left all my work until the very last moment and now I have to write a 6-page paper on the 60's due tomorrow. It's already past 11 pm and I only have three pages of really really bad writing. So obviously, to further procrastinate, I'm going to make a post with some 60's fashion I like...if the pictures aren't actually exactly from the 60's forgive me, I'm kind of tired.

Love the girl on the left's whole outfit...especially those tights and that dress.

Haha and that sailor's just checking her out ;)

Hope you guys enjoy! What are some of your favorite 60's trends?

Off to write my essay...

Late to the Game

Untitled
Some thing which I would love for summer...

1. 3/4 length sleeve/loose drapey tops. I feel like these are really good for spring and early summer, when it might still be a bit chilly outside, but too hot for a sweater. Also I really loove loose tops right now - the ones that just hang off of you. Really tight tops are just awkward, personally.

2. Big non-button down sweater. Yeah, so it's not really winter anymore, but I honestly cannot get enough of these sweaters. They're so cozy and nice, and good for those days when it's really rainy (It's supposed to rain every day this week where I live...). Also I like non-button down ones because you can just put them on over anything, and don't have to worry about what you wear under.

3. Patterned and opaque tights. Love love love them (haha I say that about everything, don't I?). I like wearing interesting tights under shorts, and then I can just wear a plain top and the outfit will still look really cool. Also I really like the effect of opaque tights.

4. Floral shorts/pants. I've been looking for these for a while now, and I just can't find any in my size. I guess they're just too popular...But again with these, I feel like you could wear a plain top and still look good.

5. Wedges. Never really liked them much before, but now I'm really starting to find some good ones.

6. Combat boots. Ok, yeah. I know they were all like "in" last fall or whatever, but I never really got into it. But now I think it would be cool to just have a pair...they really could go with anything, and it wouldn't even matter if they got scratched or dirty because they'd just look more combat-y...hah.

Oh and how cute would an outfit with the striped top, floral shorts, white sweater, tights, and either the wedges or boots all together be? xx

Weekly Thoughts: Week 1

I'm going to start this new feature on my blog...basically it's just going to be a short list of my thoughts at the end of each week. Just things on my mind, things I've been doing, things I like, etc. They'll usually be posted either on Saturday or Sunday. Alright, now let's see how this goes. (:

 Weekly Thoughts: Week 1
(source here)
 001. When I was little, I used to love the beach. Every summer, I would beg to go, and honestly I could have stayed in sand for days at a time. The rest of my family however, always preferred to go hiking, or just go visit the mountains up North in New York. They never liked how it was so hot on the beach, and they liked the cool weather up North. I never liked going to the mountains because I thought that it was boring and had too many mosquitoes. A few years ago though, I started liking hiking. I don't even know how it started; one day we followed this guided tour, and the tour guide led us up this mountain. We were all climbing over rocks, and pushing aside bushes, and it was just so much fun to me. After that, I wanted to go hiking alll the time. Not that I don't still love the beach, I still do, but now hiking is one of my favorite things to do. Can't wait for summer so that I can go places again. Ugh.

002. Macarons. Seriously these things are so good. When I was in Paris my friend's host family bought us a box of these from some famous bakery, and they were delicious. I think I was addicted to them haha - I even bought one at the airport, which wasn't nearly as good. I need to go out and buy a box of these.

003. Movies. There are just so many I've been wanting to watch, and I just don't have the time. I can pick so many just from this picture that I want to see...I definitely need to watch more movies this summer as well.

004. Road Trips. Another thing that I did as a little kid but never really liked. When I was young my family and I would go on road trips basically every summer. We drove all the way across the country on two different occasions, and we've also driven all the way down to Florida. I used to think they were so boring, because I'd have nothing to do on the car. But looking back, it was pretty fun to just look out the window at the scenery, watch movies in the car, play games with my mom, and eat loaddds of junk food. Unfortunately we never seem to have much time for these anymore.

005. I'm studying for the U.S. History SAT II's and there is soo much information to memorize eeeep. I've been trying to read through my prep book but it's hard to concentrate with the weather so nice outside. I just took a practice test last night and I got a 680. The test is about three weeks away and I'm aiming for above a 760 so gotta start studying more. But I have to balance this with all my finals and three papers and a project to do, and I'm just so overwhelmed right now. Oh yeah and this picture and it's relevance...again, when I was a little kid, I loved learning about Native Americans. I just thought it was really cool how they seemed to be so self-sufficient and I loved trying to make "moccasins," or "arrowheads." Of course these never turned out well. Ahhh gotta start studying more!

Summer Dresses

Summer is so near! I have less than a month of school of left and then I'll be doneee. The weather's so nice out and it's just so hard to concentrate on work right now haha. All I want to do is go outside and take walks and eat popsicles and just not have to worry about school.

Anyway, here are some dresses that I absolutely love, and I think they'd be great for summer. Since I summer can't be here yet, I might as well prepare, right?

Right: Vintage Once and Flor-all Dress- ModCloth already sold, unfortunately :(

Haha as you can see, I'm having a bit of a ModCloth obsession right now. But honestly I think they have one of the best collections of dresses anywhere. Each one is from a different brand, so they're all pretty unique. And don't you just love the names? They're so summery!

Okay. So this one last dress which I absolutely love.

Tea at Dusk Dress - ModCloth

That floral collar is amazing, and it just gives a nautical, sailor touch to the flowy dress. So cute. I think it would be perfect for semi-casual night on a cruise or something, hehe.

I have not been sponsored by ModCloth or anyone else for this post. The opinions are all my own; I just happen to like ModCloth quite a lot.

Denim Jacket

So I guess I'm kind of late with the whole denim jacket thing, but last weekend I went shopping with my friend, and I picked this up at Urban Outfitters. It was $69.50 which was quite a lot for me to spend on one thing but it was really cute in person (honestly the way this model wears it just doesn't do it justice haha - I promise it looks better in real life). But it's kinda annoying, because I checked UO's website again today and it was on sale.

Levi's Chambray Trucker Jacket

I'm really not a denim jacket type of person...I usually find them really stiff and awkward and old fashioned looking. But this one was a really light wash, and really casual looking, and I thought it'd be great now that warmer weather's here. There are vertical white stripes going down, and the inside of the jacket is a darker blue, so when you roll up the sleeves it has a really cool effect - almost looks like it's tie-dye.

Here are some pics I've taken off of Lookbook to get inspiration on how to wear the jacket in the spring summer.
